Grizzlies complete county sweep

After picking up three county wins over the previous two weeks, the Creekview Grizzlies finished off their sweep of Cherokee foes last week, knocking off rivals Sequoyah, 66-9, and Woodstock, 45-25, Jan. 25 at Woodstock.

Although they did not pull the complete sweep, the Etowah Eagles claimed their sixth-straight all-around title at the Cherokee County Swimming Championships Saturday at the Central Cobb Aquatic Center, in Marietta.

Blackwell leads Reinhardt past Skyhawks

Etowah High School product  Tyler Blackwell poured in a season-high 22 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field and added three assists, and the Reinhardt Eagles outscored homestanding Point University by 19 in the second half en route to a 70-54 victory Jan. 25 in East Point.
