After four years of managing the city’s books, Woodstock Chief Financial Officer Henry Bucci has resigned. City Manager Jeff Moon said Bucci’s resignation was effective Jan. 26.
“Henry and I have been having a discussion for about a week,” Moon said, when contacted last Friday. “It basically was a mutual decision. It just really was time to make a change at CFO.”
Moon said Bucci had discussions upon his hiring about filling the job role for three our four years, and talks of his exit ramped up in the last week.
“When Henry came here in January of 2008, he had told City Council when he was hired that he really wanted to be here three or four years in his long-range plans and in the last week, we had a number of discussions. “I had a discussion with council in executive discussion Monday night and so we just mutually agreed it was time.”
The city will start the process of advertising for the position this week. In the interim, Moon said he and the office manager, Gina Kelly, will fill in where needed.
