• A man who allegedly had been a victim of a crime flagged a Woodstock Police officer down on May 26 to report the incident. According to the report, the 41-year-old Woodstock complainant indicated to police that he encountered an individual three days earlier who possibly was impersonating an officer. The report said the man was leaving Dupree Park, located off Neese Road, around 10 p.m., May 23, when a blacked-out Lincoln passenger car pulled in front of him, blocking the roadway. The vehicle, according to the report, had blue flashing lights in the windshield. The report said the individual in the Lincoln approached the complainant and began questioning him about why he was in the park so late. The report said the man also asked for $5. According to the report, the complainant asked the man if he was an officer, at which point he took off. Anyone with information is asked to contact Woodstock Police at (770) 592-6030.
