On Jan. 26, Hooters in Canton will host the C.A.R.E. (Cancer Awareness Ride and Event) bike ride to assist Cassandra Clark, a 22-year-old Canton Hooters Girl who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The ride will begin at 8 p.m. at Hooters, 100 River Pointe Pkwy., Canton, and will go until 10 p.m. The store also will be hosting a silent auction and will be raffling hundreds of dollars in prizes.

“Cassandra is a shining star and one of our best employees.  It is tragic that she has to go through this battle anytime during her life, especially at such a young age,” stated Patrick Kelly, Hooters of Canton General Manager.  “We stand behind her 110 percent and will support her in any way we can.  We hope that the C.A.R.E. event will help relieve some of the financial burdens she is facing, so she can focus on getting better.”

Bikers Battling Cancer, Inc and Steelhorse Law have joined in this effort to make the event a success.  Hooters will also match the funds raised, up to $2,000, which will help Cassandra pay for some of the medical expenses she has incurred from testing and chemotherapy.
