Cherokee County’s door onto the Interstate 75 corridor is bringing jobs and recognition, as businesses like Inalfa and MSK Covertech-Group settle in the Cherokee 75 Corporate Park, and the City of Woodstock is getting new recognition in the bustling area.

Goodwill opens new Cherokee location

Goodwill of North Georgia hosted the grand opening of its newest store location on Bells Ferry Road last Thursday. The 12,000-square-foot shopping center is the 50th operating location for Goodwill in North Georgia and plans to be more than just a new place to shop for the local community.

Dog care facility opens in Woodstock

Camp Bow Wow recently opened a Woodstock location at 12916 Ga. 92. It is owned and operated by Kelly Wedin and Kris Sigman. It offers pet care including large indoor and outdoor play areas, obedience training, at home pet care, dog pools and outdoor play equipment. Cherokee funeral home offers cremation services

Lakeside Funeral Home, located at 121 Claremore Drive in Woodstock, is now offering on-site cremation services. Lakeside is Cherokee County’s first and only funeral home with an on-site crematory.

Economic Development: Church files DRI for Ridgewalk location, Woodstock to implement SmartCode zoning

Dirt is swiftly being shoveled and compacted as work to the outlet mall has ramped up since the project’s groundbreaking this summer, and the Interstate 575 interchange at Ridgewalk Parkway could be a matter of weeks from being completed.
